A number of lightning strikes caused both power cuts and train delays on Sunday as the storm moved across the country.
The storm in the Örebro region made over 2,000 households powerless during the afternoon. The same thing happened in Västernorrland, where over 2,000 households were affected by power cuts, but in both cases, the power has been restored to most people.
Local power cuts also occurred in West Sweden and inner Norrland, but these were not so long-lasting.
According to the Swedish Meteorological Institute, the storm will subside by evening and night.
