Sweden's U18 men's handball team can boast of European Championship gold after the tournament in Montenegro. Sunday's final against Denmark went to extra time, but in the end, it was the Swedes who wanted it most and won 37–36.
Sweden has won the European Championship for 18-year-olds twice before, most recently in 2018. The first time was in 1997.
A large part of the victory was thanks to Guif Eskilstuna's great talent Nikola Roganovic, also named the championship's best player, and goalkeeper Viggo Håkansson.
