Three people have been taken to hospital by ambulance after two cars collided head-on on a county road northeast of Värnamo, according to the police.
They collided head-on at a relatively high speed. Much suggests that one of the cars swerved to avoid an elk and then came onto the oncoming lane and collided with oncoming traffic, says the police's press spokesperson Mats Pettersson.
The three injured are a boy under 15 years old, a man in his 35-year-old and a man in his 45-year-old. The extent of their injuries is unclear, but according to initial reports, it is not life-threatening.
There is no suspicion of crime.
