A fire broke out at a nursing home in Mjölby during the afternoon. Three people have been injured by smoke and taken to hospital by ambulance. They are reported to have severe or serious injuries, according to the police.
The alarm was received by the police at 14.11. The rescue service and ambulance were called to the scene.
When we arrived, we saw that it was a relatively serious fire, where many people were in the building who had to be evacuated, says the police's press spokesperson Mats Pettersson.
The fire has been extinguished. About 20 people are believed to have been affected by the smoke.
