Three people have been killed in Russian attacks on southern Ukraine, according to Ukrainian authorities on Wednesday morning.
Russia fired 20 drones and five missiles at Ukraine on Wednesday. In the port city of Odessa, a security guard and a truck driver were killed. It is unclear whether they were killed by direct hits or falling debris from shot-down missiles. The port of Odessa is said to have been damaged in the attacks.
In Nikopol in southern Ukraine, a 62-year-old man died in another Russian bombing.
The Ukrainian Air Force reports that three out of five missiles and 14 out of 20 Russian drones were shot down.
The attacks came two days after 34 people died in Russian bombings of the capital Kiev.
Ukrainian rescue services report that they have extinguished 23 fires in the Kherson region as a result of Russian attacks in the past 24 hours.
Russian drones also attacked a power plant in the Rivne region in western Ukraine, according to the energy authority Ukrenergo on Wednesday.
