They Can Be the Thriller of the Year

The Swedish Academy of Detective Novels has nominated five of this year's Swedish crime novels for the prize for the best.

The nominees are: Maria Adolfsson's "Silence like the Wall", Marie Hermansson's "Deep into the Forest", Magnus Montelius' "The Border", Jonas Moström and Arne Dahl's "The Creator" and Carl-Johan Vallgren's "Your Time Will Come".

The winner will be announced on December 1. The Academy has also nominated five international detective novels for the prize for the best translated crime novel into Swedish. The nominees in that category are David Baldacci's "The Process", Rachel Caine's "Blood Ties", Anne Holt's "Twelve Unruly Horses", Louise Penny's "A Better Man" and Tracy Sierra's "Mama's Coming Soon".
