Swedish speed skier Felix Monsén screamed out his joy after crossing the finish line in Friday's super-G in Austrian Kitzbühel. Not so strange, since the tenth place is his best World Cup performance in his career.

Monsén was dropped from the A-national team this season but has continued with a personal effort – which has apparently borne fruit.

The classic World Cup weekend in Kitzbühel often attracts celebrities and in the audience, among others, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Helena Seger were seen.

The 30-year-old Monsén, who until Friday had been 13th at best in the World Cup, finished 76 hundredths behind the winner, Swiss Marco Odermatt. Raphael Haaser, Austria, came second (+0.11) and Stefan Rogentin, Switzerland, third (+0.30).
