Champions League winners with FC Barcelona.
So can Jonathan Carlsbogård and Hampus Wanne now title themselves.
Barcelonaplayers seemed to never want to stop celebrating their victory out on the floor in the massive final arena. There was hugging, grunting, taking selfies with the fans – and the celebrations will continue late into the small hours in Cologne.
Then the champagne bottle was uncorked and the gold confetti rained down on Barça when victory was clear in the Champions League final against Ålborg. The favourite Barcelona was hard-pressed, but won 31–30 – and two-goal scorer Carlsbogård is a Champions League winner for the first time.
Left winger Hampus Wanne has had a Champions League title before, during his debut season with Flensburg-Handewitt. It hardly made the joy any less this time.
In Ålborg, Mikkel Hansen missed a last chance to win the Champions League title he has never won. Wanne, who played the whole second half and scored a goal, felt for the Dane afterwards.
That says a lot about how hard it is to win the Champions League?
Wanne also praised the team's captain and big star Dika Mem. The Frenchman lost his 17-year-old sister recently and said before the final weekend that he wanted to win the title for her.
Up on the podium, Mem broke down and got a warm hug from Barcelona's goalkeeper coach, the blue-and-yellow legend Tomas Svensson.
