Among the heavyweights on the OMXS30 list, the changes were generally small, with a few exceptions.

Nibe, which released its quarterly report in the morning, initially rose. However, this later turned into a decline, and the company closed at minus 6.9 percent.

Things went even worse for the cloud service company Sinch, which lost 8.2 percent. This followed a surge of over 17 percent on Thursday, after the company released its annual report.

The winner of the day was the defense conglomerate Saab, up 7.9 percent. The medical technology company Getinge rose 1 percent.

Outside the large-cap list, the IT consultant Tieto fell 4.8 percent after releasing its annual report.

At the close in Stockholm, the major European stock exchanges in Frankfurt, London, and Paris had also declined.

The krona continues to strengthen against the US dollar. One dollar now costs 10.69 kronor, the lowest rate since the beginning of November last year.

On Thursday, it was thumbs up both in Stockholm and on the US stock exchanges, with clear increases, despite new tariff threats from President Donald Trump, which were still interpreted as possibly not being so severe.

During the week as a whole, the Stockholm Stock Exchange rose 2.6 percent, and has climbed 9.6 percent this year.
