Östersund, with a 2-0 lead from the first meeting, received Lund in the return match on Sunday.
The home team had a nightmare start to the event, as William Thellsson was brought down in Östersund's penalty area and Lund was awarded a penalty in the fourth minute.
Viktor Ekblom capitalized on the opportunity from 11 meters and ensured that Lund took the lead in the match.
However, Östersund did not seem too shaken by the tough start. With a quarter of the game played, the home team was able to equalize, and just ten minutes later came the 2-1 goal - which meant a comfortable 4-1 lead in the qualifying round.
Lund managed to narrow the gap when they scored 2-2 in the second half - but Simon Kroon had the final say, in his last match of his career. In the 90th minute, the 31-year-old, who suffers from MS, scored 3-2 for the home team, which became the final result of the match.
The match also featured plenty of snow at Jämtkraft Arena, and the game was temporarily interrupted during the second half when the ball and lines became difficult to distinguish.
The match could be resumed after a short while, when the lines had been cleared.
The players were fortunately already accustomed to situations arising during this double meeting, which is what the qualifying round is. In the first match between the teams, the second half had to be postponed due to a fire alarm.
The double meeting ended with a total score of 5-2 to Östersund, which thus remains a Superettan team next season.
