After 736 matches and 13 seasons. Now Mats Rosseli Olsen's time at Frölunda is over.
The club announced this on its website.
The 33-year-old Norwegian says:
"It's mixed emotions. 13 years is a long time, so I suppose that's what lovesickness feels like. It stings a bit, is sad and tough. At the same time, I'm incredibly happy, proud and grateful to have had the honour of representing Frölunda for so many years. I've loved everything about it. But everything has an end and it's rare that you get to finish on the terms you've dreamed of."
In March 2023, he suffered a concussion and has not been able to play any ice hockey since then.
