From tomorrow, Swedish police will increase their presence on trains, buses, and other vehicles from Sweden to Denmark.
The increased presence will continue as long as necessary, the police write on their website.
The aim is to work preventively to detect and prevent crimes linked to serious organized crime.
The reason for the increased presence is the recent wave of violence in Denmark, where several Swedes are being held on suspicion of everything from attempted murder to possession of hand grenades. Several of the suspects are minors.
Denmark has previously extended border control against Sweden.
