The Pogues will be touring for the first time in 13 years, and it will also be the first tour after the singer Shane MacGowan's death in 2023, writes Billboard.

The tour will take place in 2025. It is a way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band's second, Elvis Costello-produced, album "Rum sodomy & the lash". Band members who will participate are Spider Stacy, James Fearnley, and Jem Finer, with "special guests".

In 1984, The Pogues released their first album "Red roses for me". The band broke up in 1996, but before that, Shane McGowan had already been kicked out of the group. In 2012, The Pogues reunited to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary.

The Christmas song "Fairytale of New York" from 1987 is one of their most well-known songs.
