The Left Party is reporting Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin (M) to the Constitutional Committee after allegations about the appointment of Anna Starbrink (L) as Director-General of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, reports Expressen.
I get the feeling that she was handpicked, says Hanna Gunnarsson (V) to the newspaper.
The Liberal Party's Member of Parliament Anna Starbrink, known internal critic of the cooperation with the Sweden Democrats, got the job just a week after submitting her application – but a full nine months after the application deadline. A total of 56 other people had applied for the position.
Carl-Oskar Bohlin is the Minister responsible for civil defense – and thus bears responsibility for the appointment. It is unclear when an investigation by the Constitutional Committee will be completed.
