The hope for a semifinal in the European Championship in curling lives on for Team Niklas Edin. Sweden won the seventh match out of nine in the championship in Finland, against the European Championship's worst team England with 8–3.
Team Edin took three points already in the first round and had 6–1 after four rounds. The victory was secured after eight rounds.
Right now, Sweden is fourth and on a semifinal spot in a tight table and must win either one or both remaining matches to secure the playoffs.
Tonight, the Swedish curling men face the Netherlands.
