Before the 2022 election, the Sweden Democrats promoted the idea of a "Sweden House" – that people would be allowed to build villas without a building permit.
In a debate article in Expressen, among other things, the party's economic-political spokesperson Oscar Sjöstedt writes that the Sweden Democrats and the government are now in agreement to assign the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning to develop proposals on how to make the "Sweden House" a reality.
This involves developing proposals for nationally type-approved house models that do not require a building permit. The idea is that it will become both easier and cheaper to build houses.
"The 'Sweden House' together with combined reforms can contribute to a new homeowner movement and help more people realize their housing dreams," the article states.
