Wednesday morning, one euro costs around 11.19 kronor. This is the lowest price since last June. One dollar costs around 10.72 kronor at the same time, which is the lowest price since November.
According to economists at Danske Bank, however, the strengthening of the krona is only temporary.
The bank, which updated its forecast on Tuesday, expects the current levels to hold for one to three months.
Then the bank expects the krona to weaken against both the euro and the dollar.
The economists write in their analysis that the geopolitical situation, including the talks between the US and Russia about Ukraine, makes the forecasts uncertain.
