Sweden is in urgent need of a political strategy for artificial intelligence, AI. This is written by Carl-Henric Svanberg, chairman of the AI Commission, in a debate article in Dagens Nyheter.
The Commission, which was appointed by the government at the end of last year, is now presenting 75 proposals on how Sweden can increase its competitiveness with the help of AI.
The impact of AI on the entire society requires, according to one of the proposals, a temporary political stability. At the same time, the Commission believes that knowledge must increase among the entire population and that a common AI infrastructure is created for the entire public sector.
Furthermore, investments in research and investments in powerful computers are proposed, as well as measures to utilize Sweden's data availability, including reasonable compensation models.
