The 15-year-old girl who has been arrested on probable cause suspected of murdering a high school-aged girl in Landskrona is to undergo an investigation into her mental well-being.
This involves a so-called paragraph 7 investigation, which several media outlets have reported.
The girl denies the crime through her lawyer Maria Ståhl Lindgren.
Another high school-aged girl is suspected of involvement in the murder. She is under 15 years old and has been handed over to social authorities.
Interrogations have been held with both girls, who have provided information about what happened and made certain admissions.
They have told us that they were involved in this incident, said prosecutor Tomas Olvmyr after the detention hearing and confirmed that all three know each other.
Another person is suspected of a crime in the case. It concerns a person suspected of grossly protecting a criminal.
According to Kenth Pehrsson, head of serious crime investigations in Helsingborg, the person has been questioned. He does not want to comment on the person's age or gender.
The investigation work continues over the weekend, but no new diving operations have taken place.
We are working continuously with our daily work, says Pehrsson.
On Thursday, diving operations were carried out in the harbor as part of the investigation.
