Four teenagers are arrested for violent crimes that have shaken Södertälje earlier in the week.

A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl have been arrested for a shooting that took place in Hovsjö in Södertälje on Tuesday, several media outlets report.

Two more young people are arrested following an incident on Monday, when a hand grenade was thrown into a store in Geneta in Södertälje, reports P4 Stockholm.

The charges in the shooting case are attempted murder and serious weapons offenses.

It was late on Tuesday afternoon when the police were alerted by people who said they had witnessed an outdoor shooting. A young man had been shot several times and was taken to hospital. His condition was reported to be serious but stable.

On Monday evening, the police received an alarm at around 8 pm, when an object had been thrown into a store and detonated. A woman was seriously injured. After the explosion, two people were arrested in that case. The prosecutor's office states that both are of legal age, but under 18 years old.
