Taylor Swift donates five million dollars, equivalent to over 50 million kronor, to those affected by the hurricanes sweeping across the USA.
"We are extremely grateful for Taylor Swift's generous contribution", writes Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, chairperson of the aid organization Feeding America, on social media.
"This will help communities rebuild and recover, providing necessary food, clean water, and supplies to all those affected by the devastating storms", she continues.
Hurricane Milton has made landfall on Florida's west coast with winds of up to 56 meters per second, and over two million are without electricity. The devastation comes shortly after the USA was also recently hit by Hurricane Helen.
