"Right now, the occupation forces are violently bombing and destroying the Kamal Adwan hospital and targeting all parts of the hospital," the Health Department announces.
Hospital chief Hossam Abu Safieh announces that the situation is "catastrophic" and that "the military did not contact the hospital before directly targeting it".
"Several of our employees have been injured and we cannot leave the hospital," he continues.
Israel's military states that its forces "continue to operate against terrorist infrastructure and operators in northern and central Gaza Strip".
In late October, Israeli soldiers entered the hospital and detained around 40 male employees, according to the World Health Organization. Israel claimed that around 100 "terrorists" were detained in the raid, and that weapons, money, and intelligence documents were found inside the hospital.
