The blue-yellow team secured a European Championship spot already in November and didn't offer any beautiful play when the qualification ended in Luleå on Sunday afternoon.
Guard star Klara Lundquist had to sit on the bench the entire match and Sweden had to struggle unexpectedly hard against Estonia, whom they had previously beaten by 30 points on away ground in the qualification.
A bit into the fourth period, the difference was only six points, before Sweden could pull away to a fairly comfortable victory. Much thanks to Nathalie Fontaine, who scored 19 points.
Sweden is one of 16 teams in the European Championship finals, which will take place on June 18-29 in Piraeus (Greece), Bologna (Italy), Brno (Czech Republic), and Hamburg (Germany).
The European Championship draw will take place on March 8.
