The opposition Belarusian media company Nexta has published a clip of the incident where three men threw bottles and sprayed the guard booth outside the embassy. They were then arrested by the police, according to Di.
"The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is aware of the incident. The Ministry is in contact with the embassy in Moscow. The embassy is in contact with Russian authorities," writes the Ministry's press service in an email to TT.
On X Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) writes:
"Russian authorities have an obligation to protect diplomatic missions and diplomatic personnel. This has been conveyed by the Swedish embassy in Moscow to Russian authorities following the incident. None of our employees have been injured."
The Ministry does not want to comment on the incident further.
"We do not comment on the threat picture against our foreign missions or what security or preparedness measures are taken, as it can reduce the effect of the measures and affect employee safety," writes the department.
