It was initially a very tight field in the men's team sprint. So tight that the first exchange was characterized by chaos.

Måns Skoglund and Edvin Anger did not sync up with each other at all and the latter stepped out in 12th place.

Then they could advance in the field and regain the lead again.

But on the second-to-last stretch, the next blunder would occur.

Skoglund tangled with Renaud Jay in France's second team and fell. Something that dragged Sweden down to the last place in the final.

In the end, they could work their way up to 11th place – in a final won by Norway's first team.

Second came Switzerland's first team and third France's ditto.
