The 26-year-old man who has admitted to killing an employee at Ica Maxi in Norsborg at the beginning of the year suffers from a serious mental disorder, according to a forensic psychiatric investigation.
The investigation also shows that he suffered from the disorder at the time of the murder, and this means that he will likely receive forensic psychiatric care instead of imprisonment if convicted.
It was at 19.40 on Tuesday, January 7, that the man attacked the woman at Ica Maxi where she worked. The woman, who was in her 60s, was seriously injured and later died at the hospital.
The 26-year-old was unknown to the woman and was arrested on the spot in the store by security guards. The knife he used was also seized.
