Three men have been arrested, suspected of attempted murder in Säffle following an assault on Monday evening. Two men were airlifted to hospital by ambulance helicopter. One of them sustained serious injuries after being hit on the head with a blunt object.
Two men in their 20s turn up in Åmål and claim to have been assaulted in Säffle. We go to Säffle and manage to apprehend three individuals there, says the police's press spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg.
The arrested individuals, three men between 20 and 30 years old, are suspected of attempted murder. The police do not know if there is any connection between them and the assaulted men.
We will find out the motive and if they know each other, says Fuxborg.
According to NWT, the police have cordoned off a large area around the water tower on Skolgatan in Säffle where shattered glass was found on the ground. On Tuesday morning, the police technicians examined the crime scene and also used drones to search for evidence.
