After four weeks of Palestinian protests in front of the University of Gothenburg, the demonstrators are now forced to pack up their tents ahead of Sunday's election.

The police have instructed the protesters to leave the area in front of the university before election day. On Vasaplatsen, there were 20 tents on Saturday morning.

He says that students will follow the police's decision but that the manifestation will reappear on the same spot next week.

According to the police, two laws will clash over the weekend, when the location will be used as a polling station.

Being able to vote safely weighs more heavily according to the police than freedom of speech in this case.

From 8 am on election day, the decision will take effect, and no manifestation will be allowed in front of the building.

The manifestation is also about demands that the university condemns Israel's attack on Gaza and breaks ties with Israeli universities.

At 4:30 pm, the police announced that the area was empty and that all tents in front of the building had been moved. Everything went smoothly according to the police.
