Two Norwegian citizens were stranded on a glacier at the Norwegian border for several hours on Tuesday, which NSD was the first to report. The glacier is located directly south of Kvikkjokk in Jokkmokk municipality.

After approximately eight hours, the individuals could be rescued with the help of a police helicopter from Boden and specially trained mountain rescuers.

They are not injured and have no need for medical care as far as I understand, says police press officer Tomas Wretling
