The boy was together with other students and teachers and was going to cook food outdoors on a field kitchen, or camping stove.

He is together with other students and teachers and they are going to cook food outdoors and are using a field kitchen. According to reports, it was T-red that they had used, says police spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg to TT.

When the field kitchen exploded, the boy suffered extensive burns and was taken to the hospital by ambulance helicopter.

The condition is serious but stable for the boy, reports the press service at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. According to Stenungsund Municipality, two teachers also suffered injuries in connection with the explosion.

Two members of the staff have suffered minor injuries, they have been able to seek care at the health center on their own, says Johan Lindgren, communicator at the municipality to Göteborgs-Posten.

The police have started an investigation classified as reckless endangerment and bodily harm. Interrogations will be held and the field kitchen and the site of the accident will be examined.

We will try to find out what happened and get a picture of the situation, concludes Thomas Fuxborg.
