Husqvarna fell on the red stock exchange

The Stockholm stock exchange's broad OMXS index closed just below zero after a volatile trading day. Both Husqvarna and Electrolux fell sharply.

Husqvarna fell on the red stock exchange

After starting the trading day on the plus side, the broad OMXS-index fell, and ended the day down 0.6 percent. In the afternoon, new inflation figures from the USA were released, which was followed by a slight decline.

Of the 30 shares on the OMXS30 list, 19 ended the day on the minus side, and the index as a whole fell by 0.2 percent. Clothing giant H&M performed best, increasing by 1.2 percent. Hygiene and health company Essity also rose, and ended the day with the same figures.

It went worse for appliance manufacturer Electrolux, which fell back by 4.8 percent. Husqvarna, which also manufactures garden machinery, had a more gloomy day and fell by 6.0 percent. The company issued a profit warning on Tuesday evening.

On Tuesday, the oil price fell to below 70 dollars per barrel for Brent oil, the lowest oil price since 2021. On Wednesday, the price is still hovering around that level.
