Monthly figures from the payroll administrator ADP show that the number of jobs in the private sector in the USA increased by 104,000 in July.
This can be compared to June, when the number of jobs in the sector decreased by 23,000 according to revised figures.
The average forecast among analysts indicated that 76,000 new jobs would be created in July, according to a compilation by the news agency Bloomberg.
The ADP report comes, as usual, a few days before the major monthly employment report for the USA from the labor market department, which will be released on Friday.
A first calculation of the USA's GDP for the second quarter shows at the same time that the country's economy grew by 3.0 percent, which was more than the 2.6 percent that analysts had expected in a compilation by Bloomberg.
