Stephen King's radio station in his home state of Maine will continue to play rock 'n' roll even after New Year's.
Earlier, it was reported that it would be shut down at the turn of the year, but now two businessmen have bought WKIT-FM, as the station is called, from the horror author and intend to keep it running.
"WKIT is the most legendary station in the region. It has an incredible history. We can't let it die", the businessmen write in a statement.
The 77-year-old King bought his first radio station in 1983, which was named WZON, a nod to his book "The Dead Zone".
