In Padova, a new coach and a really strong training group await.

"It feels like the right time in my career and it will be fun with a change of environment", says the 24-year-old in a press release.

The training group is led by the Italian Marco Airale and includes, among others, the British sprinters Daryll Neita and Amy Hunt. Neita has three consecutive Olympic Games medals in the relay and came fourth and fifth in the sprint events at the Olympic Games in Paris last summer.

"It will be exciting to train with such fast girls every day and hopefully it will push me to a new level!", says Henriksson.

She says that her coach in Helsingborg, Kenth Olsson, will continue to be involved as a sounding board and mentor.

Julia Henriksson broke Linda Haglund's 45-year-old Swedish record on the 200 meters last summer, down to 22.69. She also came sixth in the European Championship this year and reached the Olympic Games semifinal on the distance.
