The police have made a decision on camera surveillance with drones in parts of southern Stockholm, the authority announces on its website.
The purpose, according to the police, is to "prevent, prevent and detect crimes as well as facilitate and enable the investigation and evidence of committed crimes".
The camera surveillance will take place as needed and applies to large parts of the southern suburbs, from Bagarmossen, Skarpnäck and Björkhagen in the east to Årsta, Älvsjö and Fruängen in the west.
On Monday, a similar decision on drone surveillance was announced in central Stockholm, including Kungsträdgården and parts of Blasieholmen, Östermalm and Diplomatstaden.
The decisions are effective immediately until April 27.
