"Break down the door and drag them out, even if it means shooting", the president is said to have told the military on December 3 when he decided on the state of emergency, something his defenders deny.
The president is also said to have urged the military to "quickly take control" of the parliament when not enough members had arrived to lift the state of emergency. When it was later lifted, he is said to have told a high-ranking military officer that "even if it is lifted, I can declare a state of emergency a second and third time, so just keep going."
Among the documents are screenshots that also show that Yoon had already discussed the state of emergency with high-ranking military officers in March.
Extensive demonstrations have been held in the country since the beginning of December. On Saturday, large demonstrations will be held across the country, both for and against the impeached president, who is currently facing an impeachment trial.
