130 Israeli soldiers claim that they will stop fighting for Israel if the government does not work towards an agreement on hostages and a ceasefire, reports Haaretz.
"Continuing the war in Gaza not only delays the return of the hostages from captivity, but also endangers their lives: Many hostages have been killed in IDF attacks – many more than those who have been rescued in military operations", it states in a letter addressed to ministers and the military's chief of staff.
The senders are conscripted soldiers in several roles within the Israeli military (IDF).
"If the government does not immediately change direction and work towards an agreement to bring the hostages home, we will not be able to continue", they write.
