SJ is also stopping departures between Malmö and Copenhagen this summer. The stop will last for a month, between July 3 and August 4, reports Helsingborgs Dagblad. The reason is stated as "major vehicle shortage".
In total, it involves around 20,000 passengers that the regional traffic Öresundstågen will now have to take care of.
During individual departures, it may be noticeable that there are more people. Trains are capacity-strong and over the bridge, we have multiple- or triple-connected trains. It should not be noticeable to a great extent, says Hans Engleson, business area manager for trains at Skånetrafiken, to the newspaper.
According to train staff that HD has been in contact with, the trains are already full.
SJ and Öresundstrafiken are collaborating on tickets for departures across the Sound. SJ's customers are therefore referred to taking Öresundstågen with an ordinary ticket.
