Another one of Lena Andersson's novels becomes a play. In March, Sissela Kyle will stage a dramatization of the August Prize-nominated "A Study in Human Behavior" at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm.
"I knew immediately that I wanted to make a play out of this book," says Kyle in a press release. "Lena Andersson's gaze on how we behave towards each other is scrutinizing, humorous, occasionally uncomfortable, and above all, humanly recognizable."
In the play, which will have its premiere on March 7, participants include Annika Hallin and Pablo Leiva Wenger. Uppsala City Theatre is also planning a production of the work. The spring of 2026 will see the premiere of that version, directed by Lovisa T Onnermark.
Previously, both "Arbitrary Procedure" and "The Daughter", which is based on the books "Svea's Son" and "The Daughter", have been staged as plays.
