An apartment in Angered, Gothenburg was shot at with several bullets on Saturday evening. The alarm came in just before midnight after the resident, who was in the apartment, found bullet holes in their windowpane.
A man calls us and claims that he heard a shot when he was in the apartment, says Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesperson for the Western Police Region.
There were six people in the apartment, but no one was in the room that was shot at.
We have cordoned off the area for a technical investigation and we have secured a shell casing, among other things, says Fuxborg.
There is no indication of any gang connection behind the shooting. The resident has not been under a threat or been threatened before, according to the police.
The residents are perplexed as to why they were targeted, says Fuxborg.
The police are initiating a preliminary investigation into attempted murder and serious weapons offenses.
No one has been arrested for the shooting yet.
