It is suspected attempted murder, says the police's press spokesperson Ola Österling to TT.
The perpetrator is said to have entered the stairwell of an apartment building and fired several shots with a small-caliber weapon at the apartment door.
Several people were in the apartment a bit up the stairwell, but no one was injured.
A hunt for the perpetrator was initiated, including with police dogs that tracked in the Valsta area of Märsta. By five o'clock, the search had however been discontinued, while the technical investigation was still ongoing at the scene.
