According to Se & Hør, Verrett's complaint was filed after the magazine earlier in the week published an article with serious allegations against him. In the article, a Swedish man accuses Verrett of sexual assaults during "shaman" sessions.
I asked him to stop, but he didn't, says the man in question in the article.
Verrett's spokesperson has previously denied the allegations of sexual assaults. Now, they also want to take the magazine to court.
On Friday, the Swede also reported the shaman to the police, he tells Se & Hør.
The reason I'm reporting now is that I hope others who have been subjected to sexual assaults dare to come forward, regardless of who the perpetrator is, he says to the weekly magazine.
The wedding between Princess Märtha Louise and the scandal-ridden Durek Verrett in August was hotly debated. The American has a history marked by scandals and conspiracy theories – among other things, he has claimed that children get cancer because "they want to", that chemotherapy is pointless, and that spirits cause sexually transmitted diseases.
According to measurements made after the wedding, nearly seven out of ten Norwegians want Märtha Louise to be stripped of her princess title.
