A severe fire has broken out in a row of houses in Nacka outside Stockholm. According to the police, one person has been lightly injured.

The residents of the row of houses have been evacuated.

The fire is confined to the roof structure. We are now working to ensure it does not spread downwards in the building, says Ludwig Tejler, officer in charge at the rescue services.

The rescue services are also working to retrieve belongings from the flats in the row of houses.

The alarm about the fire came in at around 16:30 on Monday.

The rescue services' prognosis is that the work on site will continue until at least midnight.

The police have launched a preliminary investigation into reckless endangerment.
