The British Prince Harry and the publisher of the tabloid The Sun "are very close" to reaching a settlement in a protracted lawsuit over allegations of illegal information gathering, according to a lawyer representing The Sun's owner News Group Newspapers.
The parties "have been involved in very intense negotiations over the past few days and we are really very close", says lawyer Anthony Hudson to a court in London.
Prince Harry accuses The Sun and the now-defunct newspaper News of The World of having hacked his phone and used other illegal methods to gather information about him over many years.
