USA's Defense Minister Pete Hegseth has shared a film clip in social media where several pastors express that women should not be allowed to vote.

One of the pastors who presents the argument in the video is the Christian nationalist Doug Wilson, who says that he would "like to see a Christian world". He also says that he does not think that women should have leadership positions in the military.

Another of the pastors, Toby Sumpter, says that he thinks you should vote as a household:

I would be the one voting for my household, but I would vote after discussing it with my household, he says in the interview originally made by CNN.

Sean Parnell, the Pentagon's spokesperson, says in a statement that Hegseth is "a proud member of a church affiliated with" a church organization founded by Doug Wilson.

A progressive Christian organization calls it all "very disturbing".
