Sandvik has received a major order from the mining company BHP worth 1.9 billion kronor, writes the industrial company in a press release.
This concerns equipment for mining operations in the production of potash at the Jansen Potash Project in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
According to Sandvik, the Jansen Potash Project has the potential to become the largest potash-producing mine in the world, which could have a significant impact on the supply of potassium for fertilizers.
