The Swedish national team defender has, according to BBC, suffered an injury during a training session with her new club, and was therefore forced to miss Saturday's league premiere at home against West Ham.

However, it is primarily a precautionary measure. The 21-year-old is expected to be ready for play in the next league match, against Everton in a week.

Until then, Manchester United seem to be doing well even without Anna Sandberg, who joined from BK Häcken last month.

Last year's league fifth-place finisher won the premiere with a clear 3–0. Brazilian Geyse initiated the scoring when she snatched the ball in the offensive penalty area and easily made it 1–0. Leah Galton extended the lead in stoppage time in the first half before Grace Clinton punctuated the match with her 3–0 goal at the beginning of the second.
