There was never any danger on the roof during the final stage. The Slovenian cycling star Primoz Roglic took home the Tour of Spain and thereby equaled the record for the number of wins – four.

Roglic came second in the final time trial after Stefan Küng, Switzerland, and secured the title with 2.5 minutes ahead of Australian Ben O'Connor.

Spaniard Roberto Heras took his four wins in the Vueltan 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2005. Roglic also won three in a row, between 2019 and 2021.
