Asap Rocky is on trial after an incident in 2021 when he is suspected of having shot at a childhood friend, with the artist name Asap Relli.
While Rihanna watched, Asap Relli was questioned by the prosecutor and told about the fateful evening. According to Relli, the old friends had gotten into a conflict and started arguing during the evening when Asap Rocky suddenly pulled out a pistol and shot at him.
He turned around and then a bang was heard. It was like in a movie, he aimed downwards and fired the first shot, Asap Relli told the court.
Relli stated that a bullet grazed his hand.
When Asap Rocky's lawyer claimed that it was not a real pistol but a starter pistol, Asap Relli objected.
Eh, it was a real pistol.
This is not the first time Asap Rocky has been brought to trial. Among other things, the artist was sentenced to probation for assault in Sweden in 2019. Before the trial, he was detained for a month in Stockholm, which prompted the US President Donald Trump to contact the then Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) with demands that the artist be released from detention.
Asap Rocky and Rihanna have been together since 2020.
