After ten days of intense efforts, Israel's military has now withdrawn from the city of Jenin on the West Bank, according to reports from media in the area. The offensive against militant Palestinians is described as the largest ever by the defense forces IDF on the occupied West Bank.

According to the Palestinian Authority, over 20 Palestinians have been killed. The IDF's description is that around 30 militiamen were killed, including extremist Hamas leaders in Jenin and the head of Islamic Jihad in Tulkarm.

The Gaza war has led to significantly increased levels of violence on the West Bank as well. Hundreds of people have been killed, and around 5,000 Palestinians have been arrested.
